modify GSDML files to match new naming schema of Hilscher products

    Details

    • Account:
SPC Profinet Slave V5 operational (SPCPROFINE)

      Description

Due to a change in naming of Hilscher products, the GSDML files shall be adjusted to match the new requirements.

It was decided to only maintain two GSDML files: One representing netX90 and all Hilscher module products (such as comX90, NRP90, ...), the other representing netX90 based CIFX cards.

      Obsolete some GSDML files

As consequence, existing separate GSDML files for these products shall be obsoleted and will be no longer maintained and in consequence, deleted in the project:

      • GSDML-V2.45-HILSCHER-COMX 90 RE PNS
      • GSDML-V2.45-HILSCHER-NRP 90-RE PNS

This is a compatibility breaking change for users of these GSDML files.

However, as GSDML file always describes a complete Profinet device including the application (which is never provided by Hilscher), it is expected that only very few users will be affected and the large majority of users will not be affected (as they have their own GSDML file with own company branding).

Remove optional OrderIDs from all DAPs

As the OrderIDs only match one specific instance of several ones of a product family, the OrderID shall be completely removed from all DAPs, even (very) old ones.

      Rename DAPs inside GSDML files

      The general pattern for DAPs is e.g. "CIFX netX90 RE/PNS V5.1.0 - V5.3.x".

The following table shows the first part of DAP name to make it easier to track what needs to be changed (the last part with the version numbers shall be unchanged).

      Old name New name
      CIFX netX90 RE/PNS CIFX NETX90 PNS
      NETX 90 <usecase> <option> RE/PNS <Version> <option> NETX 90 <usecase> <option> PNS <Version> <option>

Add a S2 SystemRedundancy DAP to CIFX GSDML file

The CIFX NETX90 GSDML files does not contain a S2 SystemRedundancy capable DAP. However, this feature is already sold as a product, so the GSDML file needs to be extended.

      Modify GSDML filenames

The general pattern for filename is "GSDML-<version>-HILSCHER-CIFX NETX90 RES PNS-<date>.xml".

The following table shows the middle part of the filename to make it easier to track what needs to be changed.

      Old name New name
      HILSCHER-CIFX NETX 90 RE PNS HILSCHER-CIFX NETX 90 PNS
      HILSCHER-NETX 90-RE PNS HILSCHER-NETX 90 PNS
