[netX51] Sometimes no Ethernet frames are forwarded, sent or received if Fiberoptic Mode is active and LinkStatus changes

    Details

    • Type: Bug
    • Status: Closed
    • Priority: Major
    • Resolution: Fixed
    • Affects Version/s: V3.14.0.5
    • Fix Version/s: V3.14.0.8, V3.14.1.0
    • Component/s: None
    • Labels:
      None

      Description

Under special circumstances it may happen that the netX will not forward any ethernet frame nor send or receive one on a specific Ethernet port. In this state, all LEDs and other available status objects (e.g. Profinet record object PDPortDataReal) will indicate that physical link is active. However, the no frames will be forwarded, sent or received over this link.

Only known situation to get into this state is a link status change at runtime (e.g. instable link or executing ResetFactorySettings on neighbor device which shortly shuts down the link).

Workaround: pull and plug the network cable again.

Only netX51 in FiberOptic mode is affected by this issue.

Only protocol stack versions V3.14.0.5, V3.14.0.6 and V3.14.0.7 are affected by this issue.
