Description
If the firmware is configured with a database hard coded values for the following parameters are used.
- SerialNumber
- HardwareRevision
- SoftwareRevision
These parameters need to be consistent between
- RPC EndPointMapper
- SNMP
- I&M0
If application wants to handle I&M data on its own it is not possible to get consistency between I&M data and the other two access ways. This will make several certification tests fail.
Thus an API needs to be added to allow applications to set the values that need to be used by protocol stack.
