      Description

A small section shall be added describing SNMP behavior.

      Regarding SNMP Community Strings

      • SNMP is enabled by default and uses hard coded and non-changeable community strings "private" and "public" (if Security Class 1 is not activated)
      • if Security Class 1 is activated, the community strings can be changed via Profinet network
      • Protocol stack does intentionally not offer API to modify the community strings

      Regarding SNMP in general

      • Protocol stack offers services to completely disable SNMP
      • Protocol stack offers SecurityClass 1 which allows changing community strings via Profinet network as Profinet functionality (which allows same behavior for all Profinet devices, independent of the manufacturer)
      • add statement about only very few supported writable objects
      • link to chapter about Profinet Security in Protocol API Manual
      • link to chapter of supported OIDs
      • only SNMPv1 / v2c is supported by our implementation, SNMPv3 is not supported
