      Description

When using netIdent protocol to configure the IP address, the stack accepts a Set IP Address Request also when the request does not target a specific device. As a consequence, one may use the netIdent protocol to change the IP adresses of all netIdent capable devices with a single broadcast frame without any further information.

The stack should only set the mac address if the netIdent request is targeted

      • either to a specific HW MAC Address
      • or to specific device type and serial number
