Description
The EtherNet/IP netX90 UseCase-C LFWs shall support the CIP File object as built in feature.
The CIP File object can be used to store the device's EDS file(s) so that engineering tools can access the file during commissioning from the network.
Today customers can implement the CIP File object at the application level. However, customers typically do not implement it since it is too complex.
The CIP File object shall be available in all netx90 UseCase-C LFWs.
The following File Object Instances shall be supported:
- 0xC8 - Device's EDS File and Icon File
- 0xC9 - Collection of related EDS and Icon files
