2 port switch forwards LLDP frames to opposite Ethernet port (certification issue)

            Description

            As states in CIP Volume 2 Edition 1.31, section 9-8.3 "EtherNet/IP LLDP Transmission Requirements", the LLDP frame must have a destination multicast MAC address as defined in 802.1AB-2016.

            All devices not implementing the In-Cabinet Profile, shall use the group MAC address 01-80-C2-00-00-0E as the destination MAC address.

             

            As states in 802.1AB-2016, 7. "LLDPDU transmission, reception, and addressing":

            Frames with the group MAC address as destination MAC address shall not be forwarded.
