Description
Beginning with CIP Volume 2, Edition 1.31 the LLDP MIB ODVA Extension is required.
According to section 9-8.1 (LLDP Introduction):
"If a device implements an LLDP MIB, the MIB extensions specified in LLDP-EXT-ODVA.mib shall be included."
The ODVA MIB Extension can be found here:
https://hilscher.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/ORG/pages/629800979/Edition+2024+04
This new requirement will be tested with CT20 first. CT19/CT19.1 does not requires this as CT19 is based on CIP Volume 2, Edition 1.30.
Constraints:
- MIB extension shall not be supported by netX52 for time being due to low memory resources.
We will touch this topic at a later point in time.
|
Test (2d)
- Manually with MIB Browser Tool
- Python tests
- Test is available in CT20 (but it's not clear how well and comprehensive this was implemented)
Kai had contact to the CT20 developers from ODVA. We can reach out to them in case we experience any issues.
Acceptance Criteria:
- CT20 SNMP Test passes (depends on implemented test and might require contact with ODVA staff)
- Implemented python SNMP tests pass
- MIB extension is not included in netX52 LFWs.
