[CIPFILE][DOC] Inconsistent SET permission for Instance Attribute 10 from host between documentation and stack

    Details

    • Type: Bug
    • Status: Closed
    • Priority: Minor
    • Resolution: Fixed

    • Component/s: None

      Description

File Object Instance Attribute 10 (File Access Rule) is currently not settable from the Host Application. However, the documentation indicates that this attribute is settable from the Host.

Allowing the Host to modify File Access Rule for dynamic instances makes sense to protect file instances from disruptive services.

      Action items:

      • Grand SET permission to the Host application for instance attribute 10 (as already stated in documentation)
      • SET service however is only allowed to change the Access rules for dynamic instances. Static instances must remain Read_Only.
